Interior and exterior painting, one vetted pro at a time
A room to refresh, peeling exterior trim, cabinets that need new life. Describe it and Roger books one local painter and confirms the time.
One description. One vetted pro. Booked.
Roger books interior and exterior painting with one vetted local pro across the United States and Canada, instead of selling your details to several. Describe the rooms or surfaces and what shape they are in, and Roger assigns one pro and confirms the appointment. Homeowners pay Roger nothing.

Painting questions, answered
My house was built before 1978. Does that matter?+
Yes. Homes built before 1978 may have lead-based paint under newer coats. Sanding, scraping or heat-stripping it releases lead dust, which is especially harmful to young children and pregnant people. Do not dry-sand old paint yourself. Mention the age of the house when you book. In the U.S., pros who disturb paint in pre-1978 homes are required to be EPA lead-safe certified and follow lead-safe work practices.
Why does my paint keep peeling in the same spot?+
Repeated peeling almost always points to moisture or poor prep, not bad paint. Water getting in behind the surface pushes the paint off from behind: a leaking gutter, a bathroom fan that doesn't work, a gap in exterior caulk. Fix the moisture first, or the new coat will fail the same way.
What should I have ready before the painter arrives?+
Pick colors, or find the existing color name if you are matching. Clear small items off walls and shelves, and point out stains, cracks and damaged spots. Water and smoke stains need a stain-blocking primer, and holes need patching before paint, so flagging them up front lets the pro plan the right prep.
Does Roger charge homeowners anything?+
No. Roger is free for homeowners. The pro you are matched with charges for the work, and Roger does not add a markup on top of their price.
