How do I book an appliance repair through Roger?

Describe what the appliance is doing and, if you can, include the brand and model — it is usually on a sticker inside the door, along the frame, or on the back. Roger books one vetted local appliance pro and confirms the appointment.

Does Roger charge homeowners anything?

No. Roger is free for homeowners. The pro charges for the work and Roger does not add a markup on top of their price.

Is it worth fixing, or should I just buy a new one?

It depends on the appliance's age, what failed, and whether the part is still made for that model. A control board on a nearly-new machine is usually worth fixing; a compressor on a fridge past its expected life often isn't. A pro who has diagnosed it should be able to tell you plainly which situation you're in.

My dryer takes three cycles to dry a load. Is that a repair?

Often it starts as a venting problem rather than a broken dryer. A blocked or crushed vent line traps moist air and is also a genuine fire risk — lint in a hot duct is how dryer fires start. Worth having checked whether or not the machine itself turns out to need work.
