What "Verified Pro" actually means.
Every platform has a trust badge. Most are a sticker or a paid slot. Roger's is six numbers, measured nightly, earned, never bought, and easy to lose.
The six criteria
All six must hold continuously. Drop below any one and the badge is at risk.
Rating 4.8★+ over 180 days
From real reviews by real homeowners on Roger. Not imported. A rolling window means recent work matters most.
50+ completed jobs on Roger
A brand-new contractor with 3 perfect reviews can't earn it. The 50-job floor stops gaming.
95%+ completion rate (90 days)
Of every job accepted in the trailing 90 days, at least 95% got finished and paid.
Under 5-min average response
From match offer to accept, the average stays under 5 minutes.
Under 1% no-show rate
Of every accepted job in 90 days, no more than 1% ended in a no-show.
No active complaints
An open work-quality dispute suspends the badge until it resolves.
What it does NOT mean
It doesn't change routing
The matching algorithm scores on rating, completion, acceptance, response, and recency, that's it. Verified Pros get no routing boost.
It can't be bought
No premium tier, no sponsored slot, no "boost." There is no version of Roger where a contractor pays to be marked Verified Pro.
It can be lost
The bar is continuous, not historical. A 30-day grace window on the metric-based criteria, then the badge revokes, and re-grants automatically when you're back in good standing.
