Pest Control

Pest control, one vetted pro at a time

Ants in the kitchen, mice in the walls, a wasp nest by the door. Describe what you are seeing and Roger books one local pest control pro and confirms the time.

What is Roger?

One description. One vetted pro. Booked.

Roger books pest control with one vetted, licensed local pro across the United States and Canada, instead of selling your details to several. Describe what you are seeing and where (photos of the bugs or droppings help), and Roger assigns one pro and confirms the appointment. Homeowners pay Roger nothing.

What Roger handles

Pest Control problems Roger books

  • Ants trailing into the kitchen or bathroom
  • Cockroaches, especially at night or under appliances
  • Mice or rats in the walls, attic, or garage
  • Signs of termites: mud tubes, discarded wings, or hollow-sounding wood
  • Bed bugs or bites you can't explain
  • Wasp, hornet, or yellow jacket nests
  • Spiders, silverfish, or other insects indoors
  • Raccoons, squirrels, or other animals in the attic or under the house

Not on the list? Describe it anyway. Roger reads the problem in plain language and routes it to the right trade.

FAQ

Pest Control questions, answered

Should I spray the wasp nest myself?+

Be careful. Wasps, hornets and yellow jackets defend their nest, and nests in the ground or inside a wall can hold far more insects than you can see. Anyone allergic to stings should stay away entirely. Keep people and pets clear, do not seal the entry hole (they can chew through into the house), and let a pro handle large nests, nests in walls, or anything you cannot reach from the ground.

I think I have bed bugs. What should I do before the pro comes?+

Do not move mattresses, furniture or bedding to other rooms, which spreads them. Skip foggers and bug bombs: they rarely reach bed bugs and can push them deeper into walls. Wash and dry bedding on high heat, take photos of any bugs or spots you find, and ask the pro what prep they want before treatment.

How do I know if it's termites?+

Common signs are pencil-width mud tubes running up foundation walls, small piles of discarded wings near windows or doors, and wood that sounds hollow or crumbles when pressed. Leave the mud tubes alone so the pro can see the activity. Termite damage gets structural over time, so book an inspection rather than waiting.

Is the treatment safe for my kids and pets?+

Ask the pro what they plan to use, where, and how long kids and pets should stay off treated areas. A good pro explains this before starting and adjusts the plan if someone in the home is pregnant or has asthma, or if you keep fish, birds or reptiles, which can be more sensitive.
